Wyre Forest Liberal Democrats call for regulator to step in and hold Royal Mail to account as local delivery targets are missed

Almost a third of first-class deliveries in the DY postcode area were delivered late.
Liberal Democrats have now called for greater accountability on missed targets to help improve first-class delivery and turn around a service that people have paid for but is “failing people in Worcestershire. They also called on the regulator OFCOM to step in and “act on these unacceptable delays”.
Liberal Democrat Wyre Forest Parliamentary Spokesperson Oliver Walker Said:
“I've spoken to many residents across the county who have raised frustration with the service. They have particularly been exasperated by health letters arriving after the date of the medical appointment and bank cards taking almost two weeks to arrive!"
“This poor service has been going on for far too long, and people are rightly sick to the back teeth of it. It is time OFCOM stepped in to act on these unacceptable delays and hold this failing Royal Mail service accountable for letting people down.
“As Liberal Democrats, we will do everything in our power to pressure Royal Mail into improving deliveries so people in our area can finally get the service they expect and deserve.”
