Trees Cut Down on Island

3.00.00pm GMT Mon 11th Feb 2008

Residents have contacted Councillor Helen Dyke asking why the trees were being cut down on Hoobrook Island. She has made enquires and has been informed that the trees were very weak and were becoming dangerous. As you will remember one or two did fall down on the island last year.

Replacement trees have been planted and during this year there will be major landscaping improvements to the island with funds raised by the business sponsorship of the island.
