Road Surface Update

2.02.56pm GMT Mon 19th Mar 2007

Councillor Peter Dyke can report that Highways Engineers have been out to look at the road surfaces at the junctions of Heronswood Road and Captain's Pool Road .

They have decided that the worn out, broken up slurry finish should be removed. It seems that the basic road surface underneath this finish is sound and in good condition. After the work has been done the whole area will be given a good sweep to remove any residue. Also all road markings at these points will be re-done and if extra road markings are required they will be done at that time too. This work should take place in the very near future. Other roads have also been looked at and potholes and other problem areas have been noted for repair.
