Wyre Forest sent a delegation to the party's Bournemouth conference last week to hear Shadow Chancellor, Vince Cable propose to raise the standard threshold for income tax to £10,000. This would save everybody paying income tax on between £10,000 and £100,000 per year up to £700 per year and take millions of low paid workers and pensioners out of tax altogether.
