We re-affirmed our position as the only party of ideas and I have listed some of what we achieved below.

Wyre Forest sent a delegation to the party's Bournemouth conference last week to hear Shadow Chancellor, Vince Cable propose to raise the standard threshold for income tax to £10,000. This would save everybody paying income tax on between £10,000 and £100,000 per year up to £700 per year and take millions of low paid workers and pensioners out of tax altogether. The scheme would be paid for by closing tax loopholes for the rich.

The County Council blames the government, but Wyre Forest schools are failing because of the County Hall's lack of support for staff, governors and children during the recent restructuring. Clare Cassidy's decade of experience in governing schools will make her a strong voice for education in Lickhill.

For instance, why to hospitals cheat on waiting time rules? Last January, when I checked myself into A&E after prolapsing a disc and paralysing my legs, why did they move me from A&E to an almost identical department called Rapid Reaction something-or-other? Was it because they wanted to beat the 4 hour government limit on waiting times in Accident and Emergency?

Don't believe the Tory low-tax promises. In the seven years they have been in control of Worcestershire, they've increased council tax by more than 85% and policing tax by over 200% and increased Tory cabinet allowances to over £250,000. Yet here in Tory Worcestershire, free transport for disabled school children has been cut, as have many hot meals for the elderly, while they wasted almost £850,000 on a new debating chamber with a pointless £100,000 electronic voting system.
